AIN’T THAT GOOD NEWS: A TRIBUTE TO SAM COOKE [INSTRUMENTAL COMPILATION]

What was the first things you heard that made you want to go into music? Sam Cooke.

"It features the likes of Scoop DeVille and Two Fresh reinterpreting prisoner anthem “Chain Gang” while Phil A and Poptartpete deliver beautifully constructed pieces derived from interview clips." - Andrew Martin - Potholes In My Blog

Last week Pot Holes In My Blog released one of their instrumental compilations. This one is a tribute to the king of soul, Sam Cooke. They asked me to contribute to this project and I was honored to do it. My contribution ( Phil A - Send Me Sam ) is the 1st track on the album followed by Scoop DeVille & many other talented producers. On my beat you hear an interview with Al Green citing Sam Cooke as one his major influences in music.
